My XPR-10 arrived today.
« on: August 13, 2012, 04:56:36 PM »
It was no problem to remove from the truck, but I am glad I had my neighbor bring his backhoe over. It was near the limit for my loader. It turned out to be easiest to lift it back up and wheel in a small trailer underneath it. It is in the shop now and I will most likely unpack it to unload it off the trailer.

I hope it doesn’t take me a year to get this thing up and working like it did to get 240V power for the BendPak air compressor.

BendPak was very helpful with a freight issue. It was originally supposed to be here last Wednesday. As it turned out on Saturday the 4th my best friend had to face the worst thing that can happen to a person. His 18 year old daughter died. I spent a good portion of last week helping my BFF grieve. At the beginning of the week I did not know if I would be home. With the help of BendPak the freight company delayed the shipment with no “storage fee”.
I will post some more pics when I unwrap it.

Awesome, congratulations ! No shop is complete without a lift ! Did you go symmetrical or A-symmetrical ? How many pound, 10K ? Guessing by the part number..

Make sure you've got plenty of concrete where you are setting it up. I sold my 9k 2 post Mohawk to a buddy, when we put it in, the first lift, the lift about came out of the floor, because the pad was thin where we set it. Had to remove it, cut the concrete, dig and pour "piers". That was 12 years ago, and he uses it commercially, and no problems since.

I happened to pass by mine this morning while out shagging a steer that breached security, but didn't wander to far.

Since the move, Ive not had time to install my lift and its sitting outside, as I passed by it, I was shocked at how much rust its accumulated. Its a four post, and the sheet metal that sits on top of the channels that make up the runways, is stitch welded, and its rusting like crazy between the stitches. Looking like Im going to have to cut the tops off, and replace them, and run a continuous bead down the runways, or its just going to contiune to rust.
