Any other ATV owners here?

If so lets see what you have no matter if its used for work or play or is a utility or sport quad.

Here's my new toy, 07 Yamaha Grizzly 700 with fuel injection, power steering, front differential lock, and a Warn 2500 pound winch. Now I just need to get some seat time in on it.

Nice looking ride. If you have a area to ride them in they can be great fun.

When we had the farm we were always calling the Sheriffs Dept for idiots chasing the cows and trying to tear up the creek banks on them.

Or else doing dough-nuts in newly planted fields.

Bad part is they were cutting fences or chains on gates to get in there then wondering why the Sheriff was arresting them.

Thanks, I know exactly what you are talking about and just like any profession, sport, or hobby its often the bad apples that stick out in peoples minds and cause perception problems with the public for the rest of us. I ride responsibly in places that I'm welcome and I do my best to tread lightly.  :salide:

I wasn't picking on you just muttering about idiots destroying stuff. We used them all the time on the farm. Made checking fences and such a lot easier.

I like them a lot. Kind of wish I had one now. We let ours go with the rest of the farm equipment.

We had a Honda TRX-200 on our farm when I was a kid which I believe was one of the first 4-wheelers to hit the market, dad use to yell at me that it was a tool and not a toy.....could have fooled me anyways it was used for similar purposes. And I know I was not the target of that muttering rusty. :lollol: I wish I had land of my own to go ride the thing instead of loading it up in the pickup and taking it somewhere but maybe someday.

We had a couple of them. They did a good job. I don't even remember what we had at the last. The hands always had them out messing on them.

We had the same problems with SUV's when they first became popular. Then they turned into rolling living rooms and no one was taking them off road. Dirt bikes gave us a fit for a while as well.

polaris likes me. an 09 ranger utv and sportsman 700 atv. we also have an explorer 250 and a sportsman 90. the ranger is set up with a windshield, softcab and 3500 lb winch. i would rather drive that than an atv.

a few pics of the ranger. the sportsman in one pic also. the other pic is of a ride we went on last summer and ended up at a freinds house for a rib fest. you may be able to see the cooker in the background. we pulled it behind one of the rangers. good eatin that day. the cold ones were not bad either.

I've been seeing those things around for ever and have never yet been on one.
I do fancy them tho. Perhaps when I'm fully recovered I may treat myself.
Best Cheers
