I dunno about this newer stuff but I had some back in the 80's that were great.

The ones about 10 years old ain't too bad for raising a pup in the lower drawer of.  Execumutt grew up in that yellow Mac box.

Can't say I'd get out of the truck for anything Mac since StanRee took them over.

I can't even warm up to a pair of Listas here on Craigslist for $400- a unit.

70's - 80's MAC MATCO boxes are excellent. I'm looking for a set as well.

Isn't it terrible? We all detest the newer ones.

Mid 90's boxes box and older are killer built to take over loading of the drawers even if they are just regular friction slide
BB add noting but more matinece, and loading issues they can only handle lighter loads
rollers on the other had add more load capacity  over friction slides ( found on Lista, Equipto, Vidmar etc)

best bang for the buck is friction slides as they are not fashion approved these days

if the drawers wobble side to side when fully extended with a load on walk away and keep searching

For people that do not venture to GG, I picked it up a day before I found out my insurance co is screwing me. Right now I cannot replace ANYTHING else until the insurance come thru.
But here it is.

Really? No Snap on worshipers with mortgage payments on a tool box?
I paid less than what two of the BIG HF boxes cost.

Snap off worshipers abound. You just never see the boxes come on the market. Well maybe once a year or so but they want new or higher prices for 10 y/o body shop appearing boxes.

For the last 3 years I have been scouring CL for tools. I upgraded to a lot of the stuff that burned up. I owned the Quincy about a year. 8 months on the hypertherm plasma cutter, And about the same on the second 40” box. I always looked at big boxes because I wanted a nice box. Then when I lost the ones I had I really started looking. Most of what I saw were people trying to get 80% of new on nearly new boxes; or people trying to get 40% of new on 20+ year old boxes that looked like they had been used as a shield in a shit fight. I saw the Clean MAC box for 30% of new so I wanted a look. At 26 cents on the dollar it came home with me. I just wish I were getting insurance money soon so I could really start filling it.

That's not a bad deal it looks like a really nice box. Your prices are cheaper then a lot of what I see around here.

FFred, what's the problem with Bedrock General Deadguy & Widohumpers  settling up?

Not sure what state you're in, but most States have some pretty damn rigid rules for settling on homeowner claims.
