Finally!! Sam Memmolo and Dave Bowman have another show!!

These two guys invented motorhead TV. I'm glad to see them back together. Now they have another show on FSN (Fox Sports Network). Don't get FSN? No problem, their shows are also online

Rusty are you at the end of the line? We were able to hook up to it about 4 or 5 years ago, even the slow version is so much nicer than dial up. If took years before we able to get it.

We are at the limits of ADSL run lengths. The problem is that mom and dad never had it installed. And no one else on this spur road has it. So they are redoing some of the lines to install it for me.

It will be slow, only about 1 Mb. The folks in town have 20MB available to them! Still it will be better then the finicky worked when it wanted too satellite! Plus no RUP anything over 5 gig in 30 days and the satellite throttled you back to almost dial up speeds.

I'll be glad when it's done!

Still way better than dial-up, from what I know satellite still depended on dial-up for uploads.

It's amazing that 20 years ago I used to install CSU/DSU's that connected entire office campuses to a single T1 (trunk line); and the capacity was a blazing 1.54MB. Hundreds of people shared that connection to the Internet. Now we think that 20MB for personal use is marginal. Technology moves forward --

E-tek this site started development before Garage Hangout was opened. Then I started posting over there a lot to try and jump start that site.

Then when the mystery admin disappeared for that time this one came on line just in case GH failed. Ray and I agreed it might be a good ideal to post his restoration work here as well. This way there would always be a copy.

This site seems to have went more the direction of cars and restorations. Where as GG is more general and tools.

You're welcome to post any thing you wish here. This site is mainly wide open for posts.

Ray I remember when 12k was blazing hot speeds. I've used 300 baud networks as well.

Yes, if it hadn't been for Rusty's forsight and some of my own personal backups, a whole year's worth of GH content would have wound up in the dumpster. It's not necessary anymore to double post, but I still do it to keep the threads active; just makes for some good continuity.

It's not common knowledge but the TaG server is different from the GG one. So actually they are still acting as emergency  back ups. TaG is on my personal hosting account where GG is a part of my reseller account.
