Banned from Garage Hangout
« on: June 13, 2010, 05:41:25 PM »
The admin banned me over there.  He couldn't take it that I didn't kiss his ass.

Anyway, just thought I'd let you know if you didn't.  I had a feeling it was coming.

I don't understand that sites administration.

The idea behind a forum is to get different ideas and discuss them not to see how many yes men you can attract.

It's all because of the political section.  He lied about things I said in my posts, b/c he knew he couldn't refute stuff I posted about his beloved Obama.

I called him out about that, about giving me a -1 on my login, then when I questioned his profanity b/s warning, he couldn't take it anymore.

So much for open debate and a politics section!   :billcat:

In a way it's funny since he opened that site due to being banned from GJ supposedly.

He would have a tizzy fit over half of the stuff I post over here.

Does anyone know who it is?  I'm curious as to why the secrecy.

Odds are it's someone that was banned before I started posting on GJ two years ago.

Congrats, fellow expat!   :usflag:

btw, I had to use a proxy server to view the board again.  My message was  I was banned...."because I felt like it"  He also didn't have the guts to show that we're banned on our user IDs.

And here's his explanation in the "First Warning" thread (hope you don't mind us getting this out of our systems, Rusty)

You would be absolutely correct. If I program out the f work (or other swear words) and somebody changes the spelling to a phonetic version, that is going around the admins wishes, and that does not make me happy..........

And then when I ask for no profanity, a few individuals accuse me of silencing opinions, that REALLY does not make me happy. Everybody has a right to like or hate whatever or whoever. However if they want to use profanity then they can find another board to do it on. Hence two individuals have been departed from this website.

There were several people who didn't want politics mixed with a tool/garage board. I'm beginning to think they were right. This is a classic case of give someone an inch and they take a mile. Actually I gave ten feet and some people STILL chose to abuse it. Unbelievable..............

As far as I'm concerned, phuck him.  I'll bring my 1700 posts over here and he can screw off!   :cartangrys:

Well since I'm totally non PC and a firm believer in freedom of speech (except I do get kind of ticked at unnecessary excessive cursing) But if I don't like something I'll talk to you about it.

A forum is for the expressing and discussing of opinions and beliefs.

Note the words "unnecessary excessive cursing". I think a lot of us slip on occasion.

I've had to bar myself from the site a couple of times due to responses I've wanted to make to a few posts over there. Thankfully I've managed to close the page instead of posting my response.

I guess having been to many of the places and seeing things myself gives me a jaundiced out look on the tales of out great leaders. Look up September 11 1683 and tell me about "religion of peace".

Didn't have anything to do with profanity.  As I posted in the First Warning thread over there, there has been virtually none.  He didn't like the flow of the political threads...he couldn't refute anything Heiny and I were saying, so he silenced us.  It's really that simple.   He got that right out of the liberal playbook!   :beerdude:

I read the thread, I just toss that comment in occasionally to remind people.

It's kind of a running joke here. Try posting the F word and see what happens. :happie:

Sorry to see you guys got the boot.

I am pretty much non-PC myself. If I am in a foul mood (like I have been the past 6 months or so), I generally avoid the forums because I tend to speak my mind and know that many can't handle the truth.

rusty is about the most laid-back, mellow grumpy hippie I have (n)ever met. I don't know how he does it, but I am certainly appreciative.

Too many years in the military, nursing and paramedicine give you a laid back outlook.

You know the funny thing is if the liberals buddies the Muslims win they are all in for a shock. I wonder how the women will like the Chador? The ACLU will have a short lived fit over the left hand, right hand, head rules.
