Here is an interesting idea for a truck box, a portable one made by Stanley.  I've seen them in the stores and they are pretty big.  Watch the video in the link

That''s a great idea!! Although it still looks a bit flimsy. I'm sure the guys at Knaack are working on, or already have something similar for the commercial and fleet account.

It's made out of plastic.  I think if someone really wanted your stuff it wouldn't be that hard to get in.  While it does have a loud alarm I don't know how useful it is.

I'm not real keen on plastic tool boxes of any sort. They just don't hold up to the weight or the elements very well.

When driving, I often see those plastic cross-bed tool boxes in pickups. Without exception, they are sagging in the middle. I could picture that Stanley example bulging out at the sides if loaded up.
