Simpson Model 260 "Battery Charger"?
« on: December 28, 2009, 09:45:25 PM »
Sometimes ebay is pretty interesting --

This person is listing a vintage 1950's Simpson 260 VOM as a "Battery Charger" --  :spincl:

LOL -- You find the best deals from people that make these mistakes Rusty. Just recently I found a nice VAT-28 that was listed in the ebay welding section as a "Sun Welder" -   :lollol:

I still have and use occasionally my Simpson 260. Funny, mine has duct tape holding it together also!

Had the same one or one very similar at work, it may still be around. I've been through 3 DVM's since, some of the PHD's are hard on stuff. Its built like a tank, I hate I wasn't aware of the charging feature. :lollol:

I love the Simpson VOMs  -- Still have my dad's and the one I bought in the late 80's. Not much has changed in that design, but it was a great diagnostic tool.
