Site move in the works.
« on: August 04, 2013, 04:34:29 AM »
Just a heads up that if the site isn't available it will be because of a move to my dedicated server.

This site has ran on Hostgators shared plan since conception. However Hostgator has been bought out by EIG Endurance international group. They are the Stanley of hosting companies famous for buying good hosts and ruining them.

The sell has cumulated in a planned move from Dallas to Provo, EIG's owned data center. On Friday 100's of thousands of sites were down due to this. Some of them are still down. The fact that they botched the move of those sites wasn't bad enough but they also lied to people about what was happening everything from maintenance on a router going wrong to Ddos attacks.

I hoping to find the time to get this site moved off of HG before they try to move it to Provo.

Oh did I mention that they move the sites with no warning?

Thank you for the heads up.

Wish there was a way to help; if there is let me know.

Thanks again, this time for all your time and effort keeping the site up and running smoothly; including all that you do 'behind the curtain'!

Thank you Rusty -- that's a pain the ass. Best of luck with moving all your sites -- I know you have several others
