Been a busy week because I wanted to get these splash panels installed, but I also needed to fix my TIG welder pulse unit because I need that welder this weekend. Thankfully the parts arrived and I'm a happy camper with the welder. The splash shields are a pain to install and fit, but after two days the LH side is in and correctly aligned with the frame and the sills.

It took three evenings installing the last brake fluid reservoir lines and this panel -- what a chore.

The hoses are a nightmare, but that's how they came in the original Series II -- stuffed to the gills if you have AC, Power Brakes, and Power Steering. Incredible that they managed to engineer all that "stuff" into the LH side of the car.

The rail brackets that hold all these splash panels are a great idea from an engineering standpoint, but a nightmare for a mechanic. I had to make a new upper support on the splash panel because the OEM just would not fit.

I'm holding off on installing the rubber splash seal on the crown of these panels because I want to install the hood (bonnet) first and then fit the seals. I kept the old torn seals for a pattern because the new material comes in a bulk roll.

I'm almost done with my small items and hopefully by the end of the month I can transfer the car to the local British import specialist to double check the wiring and do the alignment and electronic ignition install. Fingers crossed --
